: Bed was comfortable, bathroom had been renovated.
: Ratty carpet square on floor with torn corner, bathroom was long and narrow, could not pass each other in front of the wash basin. VIP Bar across the road was open until 4.00am, with loud discussions with security around 4.30am.

: The description on has nothing to do with reality. Very old hotel inside a pub, had issues getting any hot water, uncomfortable bed, hard old pillows and blankets, no breakfast and unfriendly staff. Ugly neighborhood made my first impression of Sydney quite bad. For what they charge you could stay in much better options. They are very expensive for what they offer. Stay in any hostel in the city, you'd be better served.

: Location. close to the train station. Beds relatively comfortable.
: The tall man in his late 30's to mid 40's with spiky hair that served me had zero customer service skills, checking in he never said a word of what to do he only put the papers and card machine in front of me - the only time he started talking was to show us our room. Even after showing us our room he didn't mention anything about "if we require help, etc" he simply walked out. Stains on the chairs. Cups, small plates and spoons not washed properly still had "things" on them. Sticky coffee table. 1 small bin (no bin in the bathroom). In the bathroom, shower screen door not sealed properly, so when the door is closed when you're having a shower water still leaks out. For $200AUD a night you'd expect it to be above than average standard but we felt like we were staying in a 1-2 star motel with a 4-5 star hotel price tag.
