Traveller Type: family with young children
: All staff were warm and friendly and eager to please. Fantastic location with easy access to city and good eateries but quiet too. Hotel was very comfortable - good size rooms and bath with all the modern amenities. It is also full of character (History, decor) which made our stay fun and enjoyable. Loved the little treats that provided an element of surprise .
: The bathrobes could have been softer and rooms are starting to show signs of needing maintenance work. Issue with AC on the last day of our stay.

Disappointing

: Decoration was nice. Espresso Martini was passable, depending on who made it. Bed was comfortable
: Being woken up to replenish the minibar. restaurant doesn't cater for non planet based guests. Nothing was organised for guests over Christmas. When it asked at the desk they said ask at the Restaurant.

: I liked the style of this hotel. It's quite funky and well designed, which is different from traditional hotels
: The air con in the room is a bit noisy and the vents are straight up to the bed.

: In no order, here are the things I liked: - lots of shelf space in bathroom - comfy bed and pillows (I usually find hotel beds far too hard, but this was just right) - day bed/ottomans along the window (more a glass wall than a window) - the window (sliding door) actually opened - great soundproofing, for example I never heard noise from neighbouring rooms, and was quite surprised at just how noisy it was outside when I opened the window - vegan menu, and cocktails with amusing names (I recommend the Green Rye'd Monster) - TV swivels on its wall mount so you don't need to sit on the bed to view it ROOM TIP: ask for a city view not a so-called 'sea view'. The hotel is miles from the sea and located in a long narrow bay, so what you get is a strip of water and a row of dull grey navy boats. BOTTOM LINE: Would I stay again? Definitely.
: Much smaller list of negatives: - no toiletries by the bath tub. I had to wrestle the large dispensers from their holders in the shower - "blockout" blinds don't actually block much morning light, especially when in an east-facing "sea view" room - the pool is challenging to find, with limited lounging facilities - a tourist without a car might feel isolated, as the public transport here is one bus that doesn't run frequently

: The staff were super friendly and very efficient. Fantastic hotel with a quirky mix of old and new. So much attention to detail in the rooms - everything you could think of has been provided - cheers to the design team !! Loved the intimate but friendly feel of the public areas.
: Can’t really faulty stay - but if I had to be picky, the air con was a little loud but that could be my issue !!

: A wonderful, artful hotel with a central entertainment and dining area and wonderfully decorated rooms. Easily accessible and always taxis waiting to take you anywhere in the city. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Loved the free candy stand. Great art to be seen all around the hotel and in the bar area.
: A few slight cons. The public areas like the pool, men’s locker room and lobby toilets were very dirty, messy and unattended. Not at all what I expected from a five star hotel. We also had a roach visitor in our room one morning.

: Unique modern styling based in former warehouse. No unexpected additional charges ie. minibar replenished daily at no further cost.
: Bar. AUD 10 for a schooner of very ordinary beer. Breakfast. Buffet remained exactly the same every day of our stay. Breakfast buffet coffee machine, operation of which was totally unfathomable to the majority of guests! A nice modern comfortable hotel. Would NOT stop there again due entirely to the poor transport links to places like Circular Quay and the Opera House. It was a case of walking or taking a taxi. Taxis varied greatly in driver competence, standard of of maintenance and price charged. The bus service seemed only to run once per hour and the nearest rail/tram stops are too distant to be of any real use.
