: Comfy bed. Split system - when they have electricity. Bag storage available for short periods before/after check-in/out.
: Previously stayed at Macleay Lodge twice, but after this time will be strongly reconsidering. Considering I'm a repeat customer didn't expect to be shafted with the back room near the bins again (have had this once before). Room backing onto the next door restaurant - hear the staff chatting outside, people walking by, bins being emptied - glass bottles clanging at 2am. No sound proofing whatsoever and no thought from the accommodation to get the restaurant to empty bins at reasonable hours. This time was even worse because the power went out around 7.30am, and the staff were nowhere to be seen until about 9.30 - no notification to guests except paper notices stuck around the building. I got the room with the emergency alarm going off, and the smoke alarm beeping because there was no power. The other rooms - those upstairs, couldn't hear the alarm at all - so only I got stiffed. No backup generator - even though they're commercial accommodation. No emergency lighting, no reflective strips in the corridors - so for the over 24 hours that there was no electricty you're pandering around in the dark with mini torches - thankfully they had those at least. No hot water because it's electric. Wasted food in the fridge. No thought to offer compensation or alternative accommodation - it's a chain company. Between sweating at night in the hot box with no aircon and then the cold rinse, I ended up sick. When the power still wasn't back, I managed to get an upstairs room and a late checkout, which was great - made all the difference. Then I saw how much better the upstairs rooms were - and I was paying the same price for the downstairs subpar one.

: It's a little hotel, very nice and excellent location. You can practically go by train or walking everywhere. Staff is very nice and they tried everything to make our visit more confortable. The room was very small but cozy, clean and modern decoration. Shared bathroom always clean as new!
: Daily tide up should be better in rooms.

: The beds were nice, and the towels provided sufficient. They also have tea and a bit of milk. We had a nice balcony to the street.
: I was received by an on training girl. I said I was Mexican and she said I was a crazy Mexican and not to party too much. I mentioned I was travelling with my mum and daughter, unlikely that I was going to bring the party to the lodge. Was disappointed with the cleanliness of the toilet. It had skidmarks overnight until next morning. The price was a bit high up there for a similar place with bathroom inclusive. A big call out fee after 8pm if you are locked out. Not your average place to crash.

: The lady at the check-in was so amazing and welcoming. The room was clean and quite big with a balcony looking into the street.
