: The location and the facility it self was good.
: Food: The Grouper dinner was cold, and thus not even tasty; over priced. Most likely because it had to be carried by staff from one side of the hotel to the restaurant on the other side. Breakfast was over $50 for two buffets .. again overpriced. Alarms and emergencies: The fire alarm went off and no explanation as to the why, just that it is under control. Next, the same day only the second floor electricity went out for about 2-3 hours. again no explanation; was it related to the first incident??? When I inquired I was told the electrician was called, and that I could have a drink voucher for the bar. What if I don't drink??? Again a generic letter without a date was slipped under our door with no explanation. Pool area - cold not even get an umbrella as other guest had towels on them as early as 6:30 AM ... Booking: I originally called the Marriott call center to book as I needed to stay from wed. August 20 thru Sunday, check out on Monday August 26. I was told there were no rooms - yet I was looking at them on Booking.com. SO I booked there, and then saw that it was only thru Sunday. When I called hotel directly - I was told that they cold change it upon check in. that did not happen as there were many conferences etc there, so I had to leave a day early. I came to SC to watch my granddaughter in her golf match and had to leave a day early! Rewards: Ironically, I always use my son's Marriott rewards card as he is at the top level and has been for years. This time I did not want to bother him as he was on a cruise so I used my basic, and that is the exact treatment I got sub-basic.... what a shame that there is discrimination in the levels!
