: Great seafront rooms with a wonderful balcony. Had several times breakfast on our balcony. Room service was excellent. Also, the room size is good, and so is the storage in the room. Lots of mirrors in the room, which make the room look bigger in the pictures, than they really are, but still good size. Hotel is located a bit off the main shopping and restaurant area, but therefore more quiet and easy to reach by using the free trolley, which stops right in front of the hotel. Beach is great with a wonderful beach walk. View from rooms are amazing, but be aware of the accuracy of your bill at checkout.
: Be aware of extra charges from hotel and that the staff at reception will not attempt to help you! Holiday was spoiled at checkout. We had a written confirmation from booking.com for a free late checkout between 2-3 (vs. 12). At checkout we were presented with a quite high hourly late checkout charge from the hotel, saying, they were not aware of this arrangement and would never (!) guarantee a free late checkout (by the way there is also no early check in! Looks like they need 4 hours to clean a room). Luckily, we had enough time between our flight and checkout, because I spent 1 hour getting this fixed. Finally the manager made it happen and took the extra charges off, but it sounded like he was doing me a favor. In parallel I spent quite some time with booking.com on the phone (at my expenses) and booking was great, as they said, that they would reimburse, if the hotel did not. Great customer services from booking.com - vs. really bad customer service from the hotel. We had a second issue with the bill, as they wanted to charge us for 3 nights valet parking (at $44+tax per night) - when we only had a rental car for 1 night. We explained, and they took it off during checkout - just to charge me 2 days later, when I was back home again! I never authorized that charge. More than 1 week later I am still chasing the $95 for valet parking, which we did not have. It is not a huge amount, considering how expensive the hotel itself and South Beach in general is, but why should I pay for something I did not consume? Especially after checkout! Hope this gets fixed asap. Otherwise I can really not recommend this hotel. BTW, we also did not get the welcome drink, that should have been part of the package and it looked like some other guests also had challenges with their bill / did not get the free breakfast, that was part of their booking. So I doubt we were the only cases. By the way, next door, they are building a new building, so could get noisy some days.
